Our mission
To build a world class transport supply chain workforce that lifts productivity, creates better jobs, and builds real opportunity for individuals and communities.
Industry Skills Australia (ISA) is the Jobs and Skills Council for the nation’s transport supply chain industries. This includes Australia’s aviation, maritime, rail, and transport and logistics sectors, as well as emerging areas such as space transport and logistics, and omnichannel logistics and distribution.
Jobs and Skills Councils (JSCs) are an Australian Government initiative designed to place industry at the centre of workforce planning and skills development. Operating through an industry-owned and industry-led tripartite model, we bring together employers, unions, and government to help ensure Australia’s vocational education and training (VET) system delivers high-quality, relevant outcomes for learners, employers, and the broader economy.
With over 30 years of experience supporting skills development across the transport supply chain industries, ISA brings deep expertise in workforce planning and capability development.
