ISA is pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Dr Vanda Fortunato as Chief Executive Officer. Vanda has been leading the organisation in the interim role since December 2025 and through this time has led the delivery of strategic priorities as well as supporting the ISA team and stakeholders.
Vanda brings extensive executive leadership experience across the education, healthcare and community services sectors and has a strong track record of leading organisations and delivering positive outcomes.
We welcome Vanda’s permanent appointment as CEO and look forward to continuing our strong industry engagement and delivering workforce and skills outcomes across the transport supply chain industry.
Dr Vanda Fortunato PhD, MA, BA, FAICD bio: Leadership – Industry Skills Australia
Vanda Fortunato is an accomplished executive and board leader with more than 25 years of experience in senior strategic and leadership roles across Australia and internationally. She brings a broad and deep background spanning private equity, public health, primary care, not-for-profit organisations, academia, pharmaceuticals, health insurance, and management consulting.
Vanda has served as Chief Executive Officer of two not-for-profit organisations and has held senior executive positions across a range of complex organisations, including within private equity environments. Her international experience includes working in developing countries with the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
Currently, Vanda serves as Chair of AMES Australia, Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust, Early Childhood Management Services, and Integrated Living Australia.
