Industry Skills Australia (ISA) is the Jobs and Skills Council for Australia’s transport supply chain industries, including Aviation, Maritime, Rail, Transport and Logistics.
Appointed by the Australian Government, ISA works with industry, unions and government to address workforce planning and skills challenges and build a skilled, adaptable and future-ready workforce.
As Australia’s transport supply chains are undergoing significant transformation with new technologies, changing business models, infrastructure investment and evolving workforce needs, the Supply Chain Leaders’ Summit 2026 will bring together senior leaders from industry, government, unions and the skills sector to explore how Australia is lifting productivity through skills.

Steve Thompsett

Steve Thompsett is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for DHL Supply Chain Australia & New Zealand (ANZ). Based in Sydney, Steve leads a team of over 5,000 employees across ANZ, driving best-in-class supply chain solutions and practices for customers and partners across industries. Steve is also the CEO of DHL Supply Chain Life Sciences & Healthcare APAC.
Steve is a customer-centric business leader with 30 years of experience in supply chain management in multiple markets globally. He is dedicated to building long-term strategic partnerships while constantly seeking new ways to engage and connect with customers. Steve is passionate about shaping a more sustainable world through responsible business practices.
Prior to his current role, Steve served as the Chief Customer Officer (CCO) for DHL Supply Chain APAC for five years and was based out of Singapore. He joined DHL in 1992 through National Freight Consortium (later Exel) and spent a decade in the United Kingdom (UK) before moving to Hong Kong (HK) in 2001, where he played a key role in acquiring Exel Consolidated Services in 2003. After six successful years in HK, Steve relocated to Australia in 2008, contributing to significant business growth by 2016. Steve returned to Singapore as CCO before coming back to Australia in 2021 in his current role.
Steve holds a bachelor’s degree (hons) in business studies – business administration and management – from Nottingham Trent University, UK.
