CATHERINE BAXTER

Director

Catherine has extensive experience in transport and logistics with over 30 years of broad business experience in executive leadership, management, operations, maintenance, planning and transformation. Leading a team of over 7,000 direct employees and several thousand contractors, Catherine has a focus on people and process, organisational change management, stakeholder engagement and is passionate about increasing diversity improving gender equality and capability in organisations.  

Catherine also has substantial experience in the rail sector, having been the Chief Operating Officer at Metro Trains Melbourne, Vice President of Operations, SE Qld, NSW, Vic and SA for Aurizon and held a range of senior executive positions with UGL Rail.  Catherine holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Central Qld University, a Graduate Diploma in Management from Central Qld University and a Graduate Diploma in Intermodal Freight Systems Management from Victoria University of Technology.  

In terms of professional memberships, Catherine is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants, a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.  In her spare time, Catherine is an active member of the Rotary Club of Melbourne and holds the position of Vice President while serving as a Director on the Board.
